Welcome to Chobe Chilwero Lodge, a luxurious base to rest your head at the end of a thrilling day on safari. With the feel of a country house, the lodge is set apart from other bush camps and provides a quieter, more personal experience. Set within Botswana’s second largest national park home to 80,000 elephants, your safaris here are bound to involve plenty of elephant sightings but you may also come across hippo, lion, leopard, buffalo and other game here too.
The focus at Chobe Chilwero Lodge is on game viewing and two game drives are included in your stay – one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Sundowner cruises are one of the best ways to sightsee in Chobe, one of the busiest of Botswana’s parks, and conveniently the lodge runs its own river cruises. The boat seats up to 18 guests and has both a lower and upper deck (with 360 degree swivel seats) and a bar area serving refreshments. Please note that while children are welcome at the lodge, kids under the age of five are not allowed on game viewing activities unless a private game vehicle is requested. The camp encourages you to switch off and immerse yourself in the safari experience – but should you need to be connected, the “communications centre” has Wi-Fi.
