The iconic stilted cabins of Salt Lick Safari Lodge do not disappoint, either in their extraordinary appearance, unrivalled waterhole setting or endless Safari.

This seemingly juxtaposed collection of French style turrets, connected by wooden suspension bridges and stone stairways, somehow fit into the rolling Savannah of Tsavo West National Park with absolute ease, making it one of the most recognisable lodges of its type anywhere in Kenya. In addition to the attentive service, fantastic game drives and comfortable, lofty cabins, the real genius behind Salt Lick Safari Lodge lies in its location, situated as it is, beside an active watering hole, frequented by a vast array of native wildlife on a daily basis.

About Salt Lick Safari Lodge

Able to accommodate up to 96 eager guests, Salt Lick Safari Lodge never fails to impress. With endless views of the surrounding plains available at every turn, there is a tangible connection with the landscape and, of course, its many wild residents while staying here. Inside, the quaintly decorated individual, en suite cabins offer a fitting level of comfort and all the amenities you could wish for, complementing the fantastic on-site restaurant and spa, perfectly-placed for unwinding after a busy day of African exploration. Though Salt Lick Safari Lodge offers an exciting array of game drives and excursions, there is no better way to observe the elephants, buffalo and zebras of the region than from the safe sanctuary of the Lodge itself, gazing upon the busy watering holes which the property overlooks as the sun begins to set each evening.
