This secluded property in Gondwana Canyon Park offers the chance of viewing plains game and guided excursions.

Set within a rugged landscape with a backdrop of granite boulders, Canyon Village is just 20km from Fish River Canyon in southern Namibia. Warm, friendly staff are on hand to cater to guests needs, traditional mule carts carry luggage from car to chalet and fruits and vegetables are grown at the small on site farm.

Surrounded by rock formations and quiver trees, Canyon Village pays tribute to the lifestyle of the Bondelswart Nama people, the original inhabitants of the area. Murals adorn the walls of the restaurant and reception and staff take pride in wearing traditional clothing and headdresses. Stone and thatch chalets are dotted around in a horseshoe shape, equipped with air conditioning and en-suite bathrooms; luggage is delivered to each room by mule carts. Daily guided excursions take guests to Fish River Canyon where plains game including zebra, wildebeest and springbok can be seen.

There is both a restaurant serving buffet breakfasts, light lunches and extensive dinners, as well as a bar on site.
