Ivory Lodge is an intimate lodge with just nine treehouse suites located on elevated platforms overlooking the reserve. It is a favourite destination for those interested in seeing elephant herds in great numbers from the comfort of their room or the luxury of the camp.

Enjoy spectacular close up sightings of these incredible animals alongside all the comforts of a 3 star camp. Ivory Lodge offers seven elevated treehouse-style rooms, including a family room and two suites that can be converted for families with young children. It is here that the famous Presidential Herd drinks – these elephants’ home-range is amongst the dense feeding areas of the Sikumi Vlei and they often find refuge from the scorching heat at Ivory Lodge’s watering hole – sometimes as many as 500 at a time!

Morning, afternoon and full day game drives can be arranged on the concession and into the national park where an abundance of game species can be spotted. Within the concession, evening game drives can be arranged with a sunset stopover for sundowners and your choice of beverage and there are plenty of 
game activities to enjoy besides. Enjoy memorable night drives looking out for allusive nocturnal animals by spotlight before returning to the lodge for a hearty African dinner.

    The rooms have been designed with ultimate comfort in mind in a Robinson Crusoe style, offering open-aired views of the floodlit waterhole. Ivory is a family friendly bush lodge with luxuries catering for a more rustic & authentic tree-house style African experience. Each tree-house consists of ensuite bathrooms with showers, mosquito nets, electric blankets, fans, tea & coffee station, hair dryers & a wardrobe.
