Big Cave Camp is an intimate camp with just seven thatched A-frame cottages available, each with their own en-suite bathroom and private balcony. The lodge’s beautiful natural rock pool and sun deck is the ideal location to while away the scorching hot days before heading out on a cool evening safari in the national park.

Big Cave Camp is the ultimate nature getaway with plenty of activities to keep you busy. Bordering the Matobo National Park, the lodge offers game viewing in both Matobo and Whovi Game Park with excellent qualified guides. The Whovi wilderness area is a protected area for white and black rhino while Matobo Hills has the last significant population of rhino left in Zimbabwe. View these magnificent rare creatures on foot with a professional guide or enjoy a sundowner drive to admire Matobo Hills, declared a World Heritage Site for its rich cultural diversity. Take the time to admire the hills which offers the highest concentrations of rock art anywhere on earth which can be found in the 
national park and close to the camp.

There is a cave-style boma for pre-dinner drinks as well as the Leopard’s Lair lounge and bar.

    The A-frame thatched lodges that are built in and around granite boulders ensures they are cool in summer and warm in winter. Each lodge has an en-suite bathroom and private balcony which oozes African creative décor and architecture. There is also a family room for those with small children on offer.
