Deep in Northern Thailand along the Ping River, just two hours from Chiang Mai, sits The Bush Camp - the thrilling sister property of Elephant Hills. This 2 day, 1 night tour offers guests a chance to be at one with nature. From enjoying traditional Thai cuisine, to roaming with Elephant’s and helping the Mahouts with their daily activities - this is a truly down-to-earth experience for families, solo travellers and groups to enjoy. All Bush Camp tours include accommodation, transfers from the airport or Chiang Mai hotel, full board basis, activities as per chosen itinerary and a fully-trained TAT-licensed English-speaking tour guide.


Full Itinerary

Day 1

  • Transfer from the airport or hotel in Chiang Mai to The Bush Camp (around 2 hours)
  • Arrive in the late morning and enjoy a delicious Thai lunch
  • Check into accommodation
  • Visit the free-roaming Elephant park - feed and interact with Asia’s largest land animal
  • Spend time in the Elephant Cafe as Elephant’s roam freely around you
  • Explore life of the Mahouts - watch families pound rice, weave their own clothes, and help make paper from Elephant dung
  • Enjoy a sundowner and barbequed delicacies from one of the mountain top viewpoints as you enjoy the sunset
  • Time to freshen up
  • Enjoy a traditional Thai and western buffet overlooking the Mountains


    Day 2

  • Enjoy a fresh buffet breakfast at your leisure
  • Arrive at the free-roaming forest and enjoy ‘Kafee Boran’ and ‘Kanom Krok’, a traditional breakfast coffee and snack enjoyed by the Mahouts
  • Observe Elephant’s during the morning routine - watch them have their wash, and discover how they are taken care of by the Mahouts
  • In the early afternoon, return to tents for check out
  • Enjoy a final lunch overlooking the mountains
  • Return transfers to airport or hotel in Chiang Mai
