From the cool waters of the Pacific Ocean to the vast salts flats of Death Valley, this cultural journey encompasses all that is great about West Coast USA!
Discover iconic landmarks, explore the unique natural beauty found within two of America's best known national parks, and enjoy some you-time as you relax and unwind in the warm Californian sun.
The City by the Bay
San Francisco has a little bit of everything, for everyone. Think San Fran, and the first thing that probably comes to mind is the iconic image of the Golden Gate Bridge. Well, it is said to be one of the most photographed things in the world. Head down to Fisherman’s Wharf and Pier 39, and say hello to the community of sea lions that have taken up residency on the pier. Seafood lovers will be in heaven too as you enjoy walk away crab and shrimp cocktails from the famous crab vendors by the bay. Or if you prefer a more traditional dining experience, San Francisco is known as one of America’s best restaurant cities so you will be sure to find something that take your fancy.
Place of Interest: If it’s some serious shopping you’re after, Union Square is the place to be. Exclusive designer boutiques line the streets, and the Westfield San Francisco Shopping Centre is home to the largest Bloomingdales outside of New York.
INCLUDES : Room Only
Alcatraz Island Tour (Optional Extra)
No visit to San Francisco would be complete without a trip across the bay to the former home of some of the most notorious criminals in American history – Alcatraz! Discover the murky history of Alcatraz and explore the prison grounds and cell-houses of former inmates. No inmate ever successfully escaped The Rock, but luckily for you the Alcatraz Ferries are standing by to whisk you back to dry land.
We recommend that you pre-book your Alcatraz tour tickets before you travel. Due to popularity, tickets can often sell out up to 2 weeks in advance. Speak our USA sales specialists about booking your tickets.
Outstanding Natural Beauty
A place of outstanding natural beauty, Yosemite National Park will, simply put, take your breath away. With awe-inspiring photo opportunities around every corner it’s easy to forget that there is so much more to explore for miles around. The best time to visit is between May and June. The snowmelt during this time means that the streams and waterfalls flow full, and the meadows are in full bloom. September and October are also very good times to experience Yosemite as the park sees far fewer people visiting, and the landscape sees the changing of colours move from vibrant greens to the golden browns of fall.
Distance approx: 207 Mi
Time to travel approx: 3.5 hours
Place of Interest: A visit to Glacier Point will not disappoint! At 3,214 ft. above the Yosemite Valley floor, it is possibly one of the most spectacular points from where to view Yosemite Valley, Half Dome and Yosemite Falls in one place.
Note: It's advised to check the ‘National Park Service’ website before setting off, as changing weather conditions can often mean temporary road closures and reroutes around the parks.
INCLUDES : Room Only
A Land of Extremes
To truly experience Death Valley National Park, is to experience something that cannot be match. Despite what the name may suggest, there is much to be discover and explored. Badwater Basin is the single lowest point in North America sitting 282 ft. below sea-level, and the vast salt flats stretch as far as the eye can see. Artist’s Drive is a little adventure definitely worth taking, and can be seen even better later in the day. A scenic drive through volcanic and sedimentary hills provides ample photo opportunities as the changing light reflects an array of beautiful colours.
Distance approx: 394 Mi
Time to travel approx: 6.5 hours
Place of Interest: About 35 miles from Furnace Creek, you’ll find the former bustling town - now ghost town - of Rhyolite. In its gold rush heyday Rhyolite was home to approx. 10,000 people, 50 saloons, shops, a stock exchange, and even an opera. Jump forward over 100 years and there is an eerie sense, and all to different story, of a time that once was. Many old ruins including the town jail, a 3-story bank and even the remains of the old train depot can still be seen.
Note: It's advised to check the ‘National Park Service’ website before setting off, as changing weather conditions can often mean temporary road closures and reroutes around the parks.

Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, even Marilyn Monroe all had residential homes here. With the summer comes one thing – pool parties. That’s not to say the winters are much different. Pool parties are replaced by cocktail parties, and evenings are spent under the stars enjoying the odd S'more or two around the fire pit.
Distance approx: 227Mi
