Tharroe of Mykonos Hotel

Tharroe of Mykonos Hotel 5

As family-run, boutique hotels go, Tharroe of Mykonos is up with the best, thanks to both the property itself and flawless Aegean Sea views.

It’s charming, overlooks the Aegean and packs an awful lot into its cosy grounds; the award-winning Tharroe of Mykonos is, officially, one of the island’s best boutique hotels. Here – on a hillside, a 20-minute walk from Mykonos Town – every piece of furniture is perfectly arranged in harmony with the wider decor scheme of beach-chic. Your days can be spent lounging on a sun deck overlooking the Mykonian coast, and evenings enjoying an al fresco meal of local specialities under the stars; heaven.

All Rooms

Due to the layout of the building, guestrooms are relatively modest in size, though all available space is expertly used, with a combination of whitewash walls, a clean colour palette and plenty of light adding to that sense of comfort. Some of the higher-end suites include a Jacuzzi though all enjoy a rain shower and/or spa bathtub, balcony and plentiful mod-cons. That said, for the extra space, furnished lounge area, elevated position in the building and preferable views from your terrace, the suites more than justify an extra investment if possible.

    About Tharroe of Mykonos Hotel

There’s a real maritime feel to the outdoor spaces throughout Tharroe of Mykonos, with old rum barrels doubling up as bar tables, ornaments and furniture masterfully made from discarded driftwood, and even a restored antique rowboat placed by the pool. This intentional nod towards the stunning seafront location that the hotel is blessed with, and indeed a pride in the heritage of the region, helps enhance Tharroe’s boutique credentials no end. The service is attentive and personal, guestrooms and suites are modest in size though authentic and beautifully adorned, and your semi-al fresco dining experience will be about as romantic as it gets, particularly on a clear night. Then, with an impressive list of cultural excursions and tours, a small gym and spa onsite, plus the bustle of Mykonos Town only a few minutes taxi ride away, the Tharroe of Mykonos hotel really does deliver a little bit of everything.
