It’s for good reason that Bali is Indonesia’s most popular destination and you’ll get to explore both its gorgeous beaches and verdant interior on this twin-centre holiday.
Designed for both beach lovers and cultural enthusiasts, this Bali beach and Ubud twin-centre holiday explores two very different sides to this popular Indonesian island. For excellent surfing, upscale hotels and a dynamic vibe we’re taking you to Seminyak on the south-western coast. And while you could easily spend an entire holiday on Bali’s beaches, we’ve included a few nights in verdant Ubud, the cultural heart of the island, surrounded by terraced rice paddies and lush jungle.Bali Beach
Without a doubt, Bali is Indonesia’s premier beach destination, where sunsets are legendary, surfing is excellent – as is the diving and snorkelling – and upscale resorts are dotted along the shoreline. We’ve chosen the dynamic area of Seminyak for its chic boutiques, galleries and restaurants, though our Indonesia travel experts can suggest alternative beach locations if you want to stay somewhere else.
Bed and Breakfast
Alila Seminyak Bali is located beachfront of Seminyak just 30 minutes from Ngurah Rai International Airport. Situated at the end of an eight-kilometre beach that stretches north from Kuta, Seminyak has evolved into one of Bali’s hippest scenes. There are plenty of things to do; the beach here is great for surfing, the sunsets are spectacular and the beaches are some of the best in all of Bali. Seminyak can't be beat for fashionable shopping and there is a world-class dining scene and notable nightlife.
Ubud
Surrounded by spectacular rice terraces, time spent in Ubud is all about relaxation and rejuvenation. As the centre of art and culture in Bali, you’ll find an abundance of workshops, galleries and boutiques selling everything from wooden carvings to batik shirts. And if you want to add a little activity to your stay in Ubud, there’s treks through the fields or up mountains and plenty of temples to explore.
Bed and Breakfast
On the banks of the Ayung River just a short distance from the artistic and cultural hub of Ubud, this tranquil hillside retreat has an intimate feel and breathtaking views of the surrounding rice terraces and palm-covered slopes. Contemporary design has been blended with traditional architecture, the 25-metre long infinity pool has been voted one of the world’s best and a leisure concierge is on hand to arrange everything from private yoga and tai chi classes to treks to nearby natural springs.
