Trisara

Trisara is a hotel that shines not because of the number of facilities - plentiful though they are - but because those facilities are truly exceptional. There are pools as you would expect of a luxurious five-star hotel, but here they are large, private infinity pools, all with views to the Andaman Sea. There are superbly equipped suites and villas, the smallest of which is an enormous 135 square metres and some are more than double this size. Even the well maintained hotel gardens are designed to subtly blend into the tropical forest beyond. Spa treatments here too are a little different, as guests enjoy a wellness journey of discovery inspired by the century-old ficus tree at the heart of Tisara. Caring for the mind is as important as caring for the body. Dining deserves a mention too - there is a Sunday jazz brunch, authentic Thai dishes, all-day dining and, naturally, barbecues that fully utilise the seafront setting. And should you ever tire of your private infinity pool (is that possible?) - perhaps enjoy watersports that include diving in perfect waters set among coral reefs, a cruise or a guided tour to some of the spectacular hidden gems of Old Phuket Town. Or you could just swim in the 45-metre salt water lap pool, pondering which drink to choose from the accompanying bar. Tisara has everything you would expect from a five star luxury resort, but expect to have your expectations exceeded at every turn.
