Touch down into Jordan’s modern capital city, Amman where you’ll be met by a representative and transferred to your hotel. Settle into your room or head out on your own and explore the city, walking residential streets lined with cafes or make your way ‘downtown’ with its souks, mosques and coffeehouses for a taste of Jordanian life.
Amman - Pella - Umm Qais - Amman
Today you’ll head out of the city on a full day excursion to the ancient towns of Pella and Umm Qais. Wander the fascinating Graeco-Roman ruins of Pella dating back thousands of years and see crumbling walls, Byzantine churches and medieval mosques. Continue on to Umm Qais, perched high on a hill overlooking the Jordan Valley and Sea of Galilee – here you’ll find jet-black sarcophagi and a black basalt theatre. End the day with a little shopping along colonnaded streets before resting up in your hotel.

Jerash - Dead Sea
Say goodbye to Amman as you’re taken to the ancient city of Jerash, one of the most well preserved sites of Roman architecture. Lying hidden under a cloak of sand for centuries, you can now explore the paved streets, striking theatres, fascinating temples and impressive plazas of this ‘Jewel of the North’. The final stop of the day is to the incredible Dead Sea where you’ll have the chance to float lazily in the salty waters.

Madaba – Nebo – Kerak – Petra
Travel along the 2,000 year old Kings Highway linking biblical towns and ancient Stone Age villages to Madaba, known as the ‘City of the Mosaics’. Admire the 6th century map of the Holy Land made entirely out of mosaic tiles before heading on towards Mount Nebo - said to be the burial place of Moses - for incredible views of the Holy Land. Carry on to Kerak, a castle built 1,000 metres above the sea level where you’ll stop for envy-inducing photos of the valley below. End your day by arriving and checking into your hotel in Petra.

Full Day Tour of Petra
This morning sees you ticking off one of Jordan’s best-known attractions: Petra. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this ancient wonder is lovingly nicknamed the ‘Red Rose City’ due to its pink sandstone. Travel by foot or mule through the Siq, a narrow canyon leading to the entrance of the old city where you’ll get your first view of this incredible site. With the personal attention of an expert guide, spend a few hours exploring the 2,000 year old tombs, palaces and temples.

Petra – Little Petra, Al-Beidha – Wadi Rum – Amman
After breakfast in your hotel, visit Petra’s little sister Al-Beidha. Once an important gateway for trading routes, you’ll have the chance to discover ancient buildings and tombs carved directly into the rock, as well as frescos dating back to the 1st century AD. Round the day off with a trip into the vast desert of Wadi Rum for an exhilarating 4X4 jeep ride. Return to Ammam where you can rest up before your departure home the following day.
