As one of the best preserved sites of Roman architecture, you’ll have the chance to walk along its colonnaded streets, stroll the city walls and stand in the middle of the plazas and amphitheatres. City Tour of Amman

Today embark on a city tour of Amman. Jordan’s capital, known as the ‘white city’ thanks to its white limestone buildings, is a modern metropolis with a historic past. Explore the city’s history as you visit the Citadel (with the Temple of Hercules) and Umayyad Palace, enter Byzantines churches and walk through the Jordan Archaeological and Folklore Museums.

INCLUDES : Breakfast

Thu - Day 4 (Madaba, Mount Nebo & Kerak)

Amman – Madaba - Mount Nebo – Kerak – Petra

Hit the road and drive the 2,000 year old King’s Highway, an ancient stretch of road once linking biblical cities, stopping off along the way. First up is the city of Madaba which houses an ancient mosaic map of the Holy Land, followed by a stop at the peak of Mount Nebo said to be the burial site of Moses. As you continue on the highway you’ll come to an impressive Crusader-era castle in Kerak – rising 1,000 metres above the sea. As the day draws to a close arrive in Petra where you’ll spend the night.

INCLUDES : Breakfast

Fri - Day 5 (Petra Full Day)

Full Day Tour of Petra

Delve into the past once more as you explore the 2,000 year old Nabatean city of Petra. Carved out of rose-coloured sandstone, this UNESCO World Heritage Site has earned the nickname, the ‘Red Rose City’ and had a staring cameo in ‘Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade’. Your expert guide is on hand as you walk through this sprawling site – from your first glimpse of the iconic Treasury up the 800 steps leading to the monastery (worth the hike for its stunning vistas).

Petra – Wadi Rum – Aqaba

Head into the desert and follow in the footsteps of Lawrence of Arabia as you explore the lunar-like landscapes of the echoing Wadi Rum. Free Day in Aqaba

A major port for cruise ships, Aqaba sits on the southern coast of Jordan, on the Red Sea. Spend the day at your leisure, snorkelling and diving among the coral reefs (said to be some of the best in the world) or hiring a boat to sail across the waters. If you prefer to keep your feet on dry land, wander the streets and alleys of the Corniche or hit the shops for a little retail therapy.

INCLUDES : Breakfast

Mon - Day 8 (Bethany & Dead Sea)

Aqaba – Bethany - Dead Sea

Depart Aqaba and make your way along the Wadi Araba Road towards the Dead Sea.
