Multi-Centre Holidays to Oahu

In the middle of the Pacific Island, Oahu is one of the many islands in the Hawaiian archipelago. Running on a more easy going tempo than mainland USA, come here for a casual, low-key holiday of sun, sand and adventure. Start your multi-centre holiday - as many do – in the state capital, Honolulu before heading to more secluded beaches along the coastline, made for hiking, diving and surfing. Our USA Travel Specialists recommend island hopping between Oahu, Maui, Kauai and the Island of Hawaii. Want to mix beach time with a city break? Consider spending a few days on the west coast of the USA for an extended stopover to break up your journey. Browse multi-centre holiday ideas below or give us a call.

Travel Tips & Advice for Oahu

Oahu Activities

While some visitors will be happy to simply sit on the beach with a cocktail in one hand and a book in the other, if you're more of an adrenaline junkie then holidays to Oahu can more than deliver. The Northshore is the birthplace of surfing so head to Haleiwa, Oahu's surf city and grab a board. If surfing's not your thing, then there's snorkelling in Hanauma Bay, hiking Diamond Head, or any number of water sports including wind surfing, kayaking or kite surfing in Kailua.

Oahu Nightlife

If you want to dance the night away, then luxury Oahu holidays are the answer. Honolulu and Waikiki are the places to party in Hawaii, with plenty of bars, packed clubs, and everything in between. If it's kitschy cool you're looking for, head to La Mariana Sailing Club where things haven't changed since the 1950s, or try live music and a dizzyingly long list of rums at RumFire. The real trend setters will want to be at M nightclub with its flickering candlelight and table service.

Oahu Attractions

When it comes to things to do in Oahu, you won't be at a loss, even if you're not an adrenaline junkie. Start with a trip to Pearl Harbour and the USS Arizona memorial, before heading into Honolulu to visit the excellent Honolulu Museum of Art, Bishop Museum, or Iolani Palace, built in 1882 and the first state capitol when Hawaii joined the US. Elsewhere, take a stroll through Chinatown's markets or visit the Valley of the Temples where there's a replica of the Japanese temple Byodo-In.
