Koh Samui has a range of activities, with everything from strenuous sports to more relaxed pursuits. Visitors who enjoy being on the water can experience kiteboarding, or complete a PADI course at one of the diving centres, while golf enthusiasts should check out the Ko Samui course. The Na Muang waterfalls are a splendid sight, and one of the best ways to reach them is by elephant. If you like a bit of shopping then a visit to Nathon gives you the opportunity for a spot of bartering.

Koh Samui Food & Drink

Thai people love food and you'll find a variety of venues across the island. For a beach location, Chaweng has Churrasco Steak House or the Spice Island for Thai dishes, and the quaint Sala Thai Restaurant at Lamai serves Italian and Thai cuisine. The many hotels on Koh Samui each have their own unique restaurants, such as the beachside 4K Restaurant at the boutique X2 Samui or the Chaweng Regent Beach Resort's Red Snapper Pub and Restaurant, which has live music every night.

Koh Samui Attractions

The island has many attractions, including the Hin Ta and Hin Yai rocks that are said to represent two Romeo and Juliet style lovers who died here, and the mummy of Leung Pordaeng can be seen at Wat Khunaram temple, which has barely decayed over two decades. If you want to enjoy the island's natural beauty, visit the Na Tian Butterfly Garden, which is packed with colourful species, or spend the day on one of the glorious beaches, such as the peaceful Thongson or the beautiful Chengmon.
